I’m Your Best English Conversation, Partner!

It’s an honor to have you here, even if it’s just for a quick visit. Though my roots trace back to the state of Minas, Brazil, I’m a Texan at heart. For the past eighteen years, I’ve proudly called the Lone Star State my home. In fact, after three decades of living in various places in the United States, Texas has become the place I truly belong. As we like sayin’ in Texas, “I wasn’t born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could.”

I spent nearly fifty years of my life in the United States, living in five different states, and eventually settling in Texas where I eventually retired as a Senior Cybersecurity Manager at one of America’s largest financial institutions. My role involved managing advanced software suites designed to mitigate threats and risks, in a network comprised of nearly half a million computers. I led a team of twenty employees, many of whom worked remotely across multiple countries.

I have three grown-up children, living in Texas and New York, and two grandsons. One of my grandsons was born and lives near Campinas, Brazil, while the other was born and resides in North Texas. My wife grew up in Campinas, and we have a home in São José do Rio Preto (northwestern São Paulo state), Brazil. Since November 2023, we have been dividing our time between Brazil and the U.S. throughout the year.
